The primary goal of Dansummit is to bridge the gap between Chinese and American cultures through web-based communication, granting Chinese students and their parents every resource they need to make informed decisions about their education. With the development of our mobile app and its unique concept of connecting American and Chinese students, our technology provides a platform that focuses on cross-cultural exchange and fosters a learning environment that transcends international borders.

What is the best way to contact you?

What is the purpose of this program?

Teaching different subjects can match your strength and expertise. You will teach via a web-based, structured tutoring system based on verbal and written communication.

What are the requirements for the role?

Tutors are required to be native English speakers and enrolled in high school or have graduated high school, good communication skills.

Is this a paid position?

Yes, starting at $15 per hour, with entry hours ranging from 1 to 8 hours a week.
Pay is based on an advancing system—longer experience and more positive student ratings result in higher compensation (up to $20 per hour).

Is there a deadline for submission of applications?

We are currently accepting applications on an open, rolling basis.

When should I apply?

If you feel prepared, you may apply immediately. However, we currently do not have a set deadline for applications and all are reviewed on a rolling basis.

After I apply, can I make changes to my application?

Yes, even after you submit the application, our form allows you to click on an “Edit your response” link.

How are applications reviewed?

The applications are reviewed by Dansummit’s hiring committee. Qualified applicants will receive an interview appointment with Dansummit.

How will I be notified if I am selected?

The applicant will be notified via email.

How soon can I expect to receive an application decision?

The applicant can expect to receive an email within two weeks of the interview.

What are my chances of receiving a position in the Summer Internship Program?

The opportunity to receive an offer for our prestigious internship is based on your current academic performance, your availability to offer a time commitment to the program, and the level of your teaching abilities. Tutors who excel in all three categories will be offered the opportunity to intern abroad at our company headquarters in China over the summer.

What are the start dates for the program?

We will contact you to schedule a brief interview once we have received your application. You will formally start work after evaluation of the interview. Currently, the most frequently requested working times are Friday and Saturday evening.
